A lot of things have been happening at Aesthetical Climate! I have been gearing up for the 2011 holiday season, making plans and sketches for 2012, organizing the studio and much more. I want to take a moment and thank all of you for making this a great year overall!

New item for collectors . . . Limited edition hand painted ornaments.

Meet this year's romantic beauty, "Daisy in Leather and Lace". She is done on a shatterproof copper bulb with a beautiful organza wired ribbon and accented with a faux leather textured ribbon trimmed in chenille. She is signed on the back with daisies. Only 4 will be made and each one slightly different, since they are hand painted after all! View and purchase here.

Sneak peak . . . Next year's will have snowflakes and doves in her hair and colors will be silver, white and blue. Can't wait to get her painted!

Let it SnowMan!

Now it just wouldn't be winter at Aesthetical Climate without the snowmen!! Here are three little guys who made their way onto my canvases and I am so in love with all three at once!

Finally I get to the finest of the finest, "Rockin' Eskimo Snowman" who is keeping us entertained no matter how cold it gets this winter. View and purchase him here.

I have some really great "Gifted Treasures" jewelry available for those much needed stocking stuffers. Shop at my Etsy store or on the website.

You can always contact me for any custom orders and requests you may have. Please remember that I will be taking commission orders through December 2nd at 6:00 p.m. PT.

I am so humbled by all the gifts God has given me, and so thankful that I am able to share them with you. Remember to follow your heart to your true passion and then you will find YOUR life visions!

XOXO

Hot Off the Easel Arts Advocate

A good way to get your artwork out into the world and become an arts advocate is to DONATE some of your pieces! Yes, you read it right. Not only are you promoting a good cause, but you are self-promoting as well. You want to showcase your work in a format that best suites your style. In my case, my son is musically gifted and also loves and appreciates art, probably because I am an artist. Anyhow, I decided to combine the two talents and create a series called "Celebrating the Arts". I wanted to help out the music school where my son studies and now I am adding his elementary school to that list. I am donating pieces there in honor of his music teacher/choral director, the principal and the school art gallery. I wanted each venue to have pieces that inspire the students there, to promote both music and art, and to make sure there were art on the walls appropriate to its purpose and intent - to teach and educate through the arts.

My latest pieces "Hot Off the Easel" include:

"Music Mania", 24"x30", mixed media.

"Violin Solo", 20"x20", mixed media

"Paint Me a Melody", 24"x24", mixed media

Hot Off the Easel for April

Finishing up several paintings this week. This particular piece is from an ongoing series celebrating the arts with art! Most don't know that music was a predominant outlet for my creativity in my early years. It is true. At age 3, I pounded out what I now know as the beginning of a Mozart Piano Sonata. I had NEVER heard it before and didn't even know what classical music was yet. My parents were blasting out Fleetwood Mac, Eagles and Bob Seger on their stereo at that time. They had no clue either - lol! I did not know what this "little ditty" was until I actually heard Mozart in my early college days. My mouth dropped to the floor when I realized it myself.

I grew up drawing, writing and singing my way through life. One thing was for sure, art still pulled harder on my heart and soul. I still LOVE music and I have passed it on to my son who has a true talent for it. Maybe he can make some since out of all of this some day. Ha! No pressure...

Presenting, "Music Mania", 20"x30", mixed media!

My favorite part is the blue violin! I also can't help but see so much more depth down into the piece. Do you see it? Lots of little creative spirits live within these areas of the piece. I always see faces looking out at me as if to say, "Here I am, can you see me too!" More life visions to paint!

I never get tired of seeing what new visions show up each time. It is just as exciting and surprising to me as it is you, the viewer!

Enjoy! Happy Easter, Earth Day and Peace and Wisdom be with you. God Bless ~ Denice

Hot Off the Easel!

My journey this week leads me back to my easel to finish 2 more paintings! I am longing to paint more than my schedule allows right now, so some suppression is happening. I remember that an explosion follows soon after, so I expect to need the larger canvases again - ha!

Presenting:

"Winter Whispers", 8"x20", mixed media on canvas. Available HERE.

She is a continuation of my series based on the seasons. She has minimal color, which is so unlike me! I am enjoying working in this style in conjunction with my abstract contemporary pieces. It keeps me loose and feeling free - ha!

Below is the second piece freshly painted and still drying at the easel.

"Visionary" or "The Visionary", a 6"x6" work in progress. I am keeping as WIP for now because I am not sure that I can resist pulling a few things out of this one. I see so much within the paint. The bright yellow light is the visionary who has come to spread the message. He or She is met with mixed emotion and bit of chaos.

I will repost this piece and let you know when it is available. Let me know what you see by leaving me a comment below. I love getting the viewers interpretation. Afterall, you are seeing my vision for the first time here!

On with the journey....Denice

New! Handmade Art Glass

You may have noticed a new item being offered on the website. Well it all began with that never ending goal of wanting to make my art available to EVERYONE. I took my thoughts and energy back to an original concept I used years ago - wearable art! This time I found a medium that is so shiny and full of potential, which is art glass. Now every time I paint, I have the option to convert the image of the painting to jewelry. I am so excited to be making these beautiful pieces. I use only the highest quality materials I can find. I am currently working on new graphic designs specifically for these pieces. I hope to have a new collection and maybe even a series available to show soon. These pieces were a great success during the holiday season. I plan to offer them for as long as I my hands can make them!
